Giving-Back in Action.
On Friday, April 14, 2023, Faith Academy staff and the 2nd-grade class spent time with the Reflection Ridge Retirement Community elders making grapevine spring wreaths. Each grapevine wreath was decorated with eucalyptus and white peonies for a classic look.
These times are significant for the elders and the students. It provides a simple way to enrich our community and build a foundation of philanthropy in our youth.
This event is a monthly Faith Academy program called "What's Old is New: Recreating the Wheel," where students spend time with the elderly working on art and craft projects.
It’s always a blessing to see our Reflection Ridge friends, each time leaving something behind for them that brings lasting memories of happiness and joy.
A big thank you to our 2nd-grade teacher, Mrs. Lopez who took most of the photos, and Michelle Gordanier the event coordinator.
